Legare Street Tour I
Thursday, September 23, 2010, 7:00-10:00 PM
Also offered on Sunday, September 26th, 2pm - 5pm
Legare Street was named for Solomon Legare, a prosperous Huguenot silversmith, who owned the area of land at the intersection of Legare and Tradd Streets. This tour features some of Charleston’s most significant houses built in the early 19th century. Magnificent Charleston single houses, servants quarters, kitchen and carriage houses exhibit interiors reflecting modern lifestyles, yet respecting the character and significance of the city’s historic architecture. |
