From the taverns to the Liberty Tree and to the homes of those who sacrificed all for freedom

There were more Revolutionary War battles fought in South Carolina than in any other state and the Siege of Charleston was a short but important military episode during the American Revolution. From the Charleston taverns to the Liberty Tree and to the homes of those who sacrificed all for freedom, this tour will explore how this “royal city” with its divided loyalties will shape the future of our country.

As we approach the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution in 2026, join us with Lee Ann Bain to learn about Charleston’s role in the fight for freedom.
