Walking Tour: Social & Cultural

Skulls and crossbones. Angels and rosebuds. Local graveyards are art galleries harboring stories, literature and legends. Join a stroll through colonial and antebellum cemeteries with cemetery expert and tour guide, Ruth Miller. Discover this unique portrait of the past found in our old graveyards. This is not a ghost tour but rather an intriguing look at some of the finest 18th and 19th century memorials in the country and the fascinating stories surrounding them.

“Although most visitors simply show themselves through Charleston’s cemeteries, others turn to professionals for a more in-depth lesson. Ruth Miller… loves to show visitors her favorite finds.” Southern Living
