Events & Tours
The Preservation Society of Charleston hosts a robust calendar of events that brings our mission to life—celebrating the city’s rich history, vibrant culture, and the enduring importance of preservation. Our programs offer opportunities for residents and visitors alike to engage with Charleston’s architectural legacy, connect with preservation leaders, and experience the stories that define our sense of place.
Each fall, the Fall Tours of Architecture, History, and Gardens invite guests behind the gates of some of Charleston’s most iconic private homes and gardens, offering rare access and historical insight. In the spring, we proudly celebrate Preservation Month with a series of programs, tours, and talks that highlight the power of preservation in shaping Charleston’s future.
A highlight of our annual calendar is the Carolopolis Awards, which recognize excellence in historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and compatible new construction across the Lowcountry. This signature event honors individuals and projects that exemplify a commitment to protecting Charleston’s built environment.
From walking tours and seasonal lectures to exclusive member gatherings and community-wide celebrations, PSC events are designed to educate, inspire, and unite. Each experience strengthens our shared responsibility to honor the past while shaping a more thoughtful and resilient future for Charleston.
